Obtain MAC Address For Windows and Mac Devices

Overview

Need to find MAC address for Computing device.

Prerequisites

Windows or Mac OS.

Resolution

Windows

1. Click on the Start Menu, type cmd and press Enter 
2.  Type ipconfig /all and press the Enter key.
3.  Locate the MAC address labeled as Physical Address under Wireless LAN adapter or Ethernet adapter
4. Give the MAC address if requested by IT

Mac

1. Press option  and click the wifi icon in the upper right hand corner 
2. Locate MAC address under Address
3. Give the MAC address if requested by IT
