Connecting to the Bulldogs SSID On A Mobile Device

Overview

The Ferris State University Bulldogs SSID, a secure (encrypted) network, is accessible to all faculty, staff, administration, and students. It is currently available within many buildings, including the David L. Eisler Center. The Bulldogs SSID will eventually replace FerrisWiFi in all buildings on the main campus.

Accessing the network through the Bulldogs SSID provides access to Canvas, Ferris360, and the Internet.

Prerequisites

  • You must have a Ferris computing ID and password to access the Bulldogs SSID.
  • Available to employees and students.
  • Must register devices with the network to connect.

Resolution

1. Turn on WiFi on the device and select the Bulldogs SSID.

2. Bulldogs utilizes your Ferris computing ID and password for authentication; simply enter your username and password and select Join.

3. Trust the certificate if prompted, and you will be connected to the Bulldogs wireless network.
