Checking My Apple Hardware Support

Overview

Is my Mac serviceable? Can I get a battery replacement? 

Prerequisites

Apple device service related issue.

Resolution

If you are not certain on your Apple device's current warranty/coverage status, do the following:

  1. Go to Check your device's coverage.
  2. Enter your device's serial number and the security code as it appears on screen.
  3. Click on Submit.

If your device is no longer covered by an Apple Warranty:

  1. Go to Obtaining service for your Apple product after an expired warranty 
  2. If the hardware is listed as Vintage, there is a slight possibility for serviceability as parts might be available.
