Overview
Keeping your MFA methods up to date is important. Deleting ones you no longer use is necessary in order to avoid being locked out of your account.
Prerequisites
A Ferris Microsoft 365 account.
Resolution
- Navigate to office.ferris.edu in your browser and type your email address into the box. Select Next and then enter your account password. Select the sign in button.
- Complete the MFA approval step.
Note: This step may vary based on your default MFA option.
- Once logged into your account, you will see a screen like the image below. Select your account name on the top right of your screen.
- Once you have selected your account name, you will see two different options “View account” and “My Office Profile.” Select View Account.
- After selecting View Account, a new tab will open. Select the Security info from the left-hand menu or click on the UPDATE INFO >
- Once there, select Delete next to the MFA you want to remove.
