Using Subtitles Feature in PowerPoint 

An easy way to be more inclusive in classroom lectures and presentations is to use the subtitles feature in PowerPoint. Below are instructions to use this feature. Using subtitles benefits many students including those that are deaf or hard of hearing and English language learners. 

  1. Sign in to Ferris360

  1. Click on the E-mail icon 

  1. Sign into your Microsoft account with your Ferris credentials 

  1. Click on the PowerPoint icon on the left-hand side of the screen 

  1. Open your presentation 

  1. Click on “Slide Show” at the top of your screen 

  1. Click on “Always Use Subtitles” (you may use the drop-down menu to select language and placement of subtitles) 

  1. Start the slide show 

  1. You should see the automatic subtitles
